Hotel Gran Cerezo Kagoshima

The location was good, walking distance from the train station and Hakata. The public bath was excellent, and the staff were friendly.

Although the room was meant to be larger than others we've stayed in, the layout felt odd and made it seem smaller. The bed was too small for two people, which negatively affected the quality of our sleep.

The onsen is nice, it's a little small and get a bit crowded but as a free amenity, I won't complain. It's nice that the shower and toilet are separated and the room is spacious for a solo traveller.

The hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from Tenmonkan. For me that's okay but it can be a deal breaker if you have accessibility issues. There was also a strange buzzing noise in my room that kept me awake, the nearby tram lines and intersection can also be quite noisy.

We enjoyed the public bath and complimentary drinks. Breakfast spread is good and parking is convenient. Our double room was of a good size for 2.

Friendly staff, quick check in/out, clean house and they even got a gym house, a hot-spring bath room!

Hotel has onsen which we loved and their breakfast was superb including their shabu-shabu. Breakfast room was overlooking the Volcano, which is a bonus.

Buffet breakfast was amazing! Great to try local dishes

Not the newest, quite a basic hotel, but in excellent condition, it is obvious that it is taken care of. For three stars it is one of the best options. High standards of service, professional staff, clean and cozy rooms, and also the breakfast area on the top floor with a stunning view of the volcano Sakurajima. The breakfast itself is also great. Definitely one of the best hotels in its class. Recommended.

Good location, near tram stop (on line for JR stations). Clean, comfortable, nice public baths, helpful staff.

Excellent location, very clean, king room was perfect. Breakfast very good and the food was fresh. Plenty of voice for the breakfast. Amenities good.

The smoking room was in the reception area and had no door. As soon as you got out of the lift you could smell smoke. Inappropriate position for smoking.

The room was nice but the TV was outdated. Parking is paid but convenient.

Only one coin laundry machine + dryer for the whole hotel. What monster designs that?!

Nice modern hotel with big rooms for Japanese standards. Bathroom was spacious with an amazong shower. No bathun but the shower makes up for it.Hotel is located on the edge of the nightlife part of Kagoshima and next to the tram heading for the station.
